a·nointDavid knows that God has chosen him and that God is the only one who can sanctify him, cleanse him from all of his sins. In the same way, I know that God has chosen me to be adopted as his child. He knit me together in my mother's womb. He knew me before I was born. Christ alone makes me pure and holy. Like David, I must also continually seek God and cry out to him for strength.
tr.v. a·noint·ed, a·noint·ing, a·noints

Dear Lord,
Thank you dearly for the price you paid to buy me back from my sins. I can't imagine the pain you suffered on my behalf, but I know that you can sustain me through any trials I face. Please give me the strength I need to run a worthy race and to be blameless to the end. You are my strength. You are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; You are my rock in whom I take refuge! You are my shield and the horn (power) of my salvation. I shall not be afraid. I shall not shrink back!
